Winter Storage 2024/25 - waiting list

Moorings 2024 - waiting list

Ardoran Marine is the only boatyard situated on peaceful Loch Feochan. The buoyed channel out to sea opens up to the Firth of Lorn at the South end of the Island of Kerrera. The Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe are easily accessible to the North and heading South to the Garvellochs, the Sound of Luing to the islands of Jura and Islay.

The hardstanding storage space offers sheltered winter storage ashore for extra boats with metered power points for heaters and dehumidifiers. There is a laundry/shower and toilet block with washing machine and tumble drier.

Moorings can be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, or for the whole six month season from April to October, then ashore for the winter months. The buoys are Hippo with the boat owner providing their own pickup rope. We can supply pickup ropes to suit each boat type if required. Click on Tide Tables to find our current year's tide times & navigational advice for entering Loch Feochan.

Our moorings are suitable for boats up to 14 metres .

Storage ashore is limited to 12m in length with a beam of up to 4.4 metres.

Maximum weight is 16 tonnes.

There are service pontoons (new for 2018) for loading provisions and crew, with diesel/marine gas oil, fresh water and power hook up points on pontoon. Toilet and shower facilities and calor gas available ashore. There is a slipway for launching boats for those of you who wish to bring their boat by trailer, with a parking area for the car and trailer while sailing.

All chalets overlook the moorings, and are suitable for shore-based groups, e.g. those with young children, or for larger groups enjoying a boating holiday. Within walking distance is the Barn Bar restaurant and country pub, ideal for an evening meal, with regular live Scottish and Folk music. Ardoran offers not only excellent sailing opportunities - walking, bird watching, canoeing and fishing making it an ideal all-round family holiday location.
